There were several
occasions when I worked in France, the first being
with Thorn
Transit. I had to visit Thomson CF who
manufacturered the station equipment for
MTR
in Hong Kong. I was responsible interfacing this
equipment to a Thorn's ticket collection system. This
was in 1997. Coincidentally I
was again in France some two years later during 1999
again at Thomson CF in Bagneaux just to the south of
Paris when I worked for
Airsys ATM (Now Thales
ATM) who were part of this group. This was to liase with
the designers of two new Air traffic control centres for
the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority.
